Coffea arabica, the plant originates from the highlands of Ethiopia. It first grew wild before being stumbled upon by an observant Ethiopian highland goat herder called Kaldi.

Kaldi, noticed his goats becoming lively after eating the red cherries from the coffee tree. Intrigued, he went to the local monks, the scientist of the day, to share his findings. Serendipitously, they tossed the cherries in the fire and the aroma that emerged enchanted them. Curious, they brewed their first cup of coffee and fell in love, this sparked a love affair globally with the aromatic beverage.  

Ethiopia has many coffee-growing regions, with multi-climatic zones, diverse soil types, and varied altitude ranges, producing some of the world's most premium coffee.
